ALLAM Marine is one of the most high-profile businesses in the East Yorkshire region - so we were delighted to be invited to clean their iconic HQ. The award-winning manufacturer and supplier of power generation machinery shot to prominence in 2010 when the Allam family purchased Hull City to prevent them from heading into administration.
During their 12-year stewardship, the Allam family oversaw two Premier League promotions, an FA Cup final, the club's first European campaign and a League One title.
The family name also has a philanthropic association with many community organisations, especially after Dr Assem Allam donated £8million towards the development of new healthcare centres at Hull Royal Infirmary and Castle Hill Hospital.
He also donated funds for the impressive 500-seater Allam Lecture Theatre in the University of Hull’s Business School and the wonderful Allam Medical Building, opened by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II in 2017.
To be asked to help provide assistance at their business was an honour for our team and the project required us to utilise many of our core services.
Reflecting on the project, our Business Support Manager Daniel Elliott said: "We were delighted to work for such a well-known local company to help keep their premises in excellent condition.
"We used a mobile elevated work platform to safely carry out the cladding cleaning around the full building, including all the roller shutter doors, canopies and high-level steel work.
"To keep the building in tip top condition, we also cleaned all exterior paving, the pin kerbs in the car park and the exterior area just outside the entrance.
"At the end of the project, we were really happy with the outcome and it's another excellent example of the essential maintenance services we can provide."
